The Hague or online.
You have talked a lot about what is bothering you. With friends, with your partner, maybe earlier with a coach or therapist. You have gained insights you could recite by heart. And still, on a deeper level, things do not quite change.
That is often because understanding alone is not enough. What your body carries does not let itself be talked away.
You are looking for someone who works with what plays out beyond thinking. Not vague, but concrete and attentive. Someone who helps listen to signals from your body and translate them into what they tell you about your life, work and choices.
Some patterns sit deeper than words can capture. They sit in how you stand, how you breathe, where you hold tension, and which places in your body you no longer feel.
You have done years of work on yourself. You know how it sits. Still you react in the moment the same as always. That is a sign that the change has to take place on a different layer.
Headaches, stomach issues, fatigue, sleep problems. Medically nothing is found, and still your body is saying something. Those are often signals related to tension you do not consciously feel.
You live from the neck up. Your head works hard, your body follows. At the end of the day you no longer sense well what the body wants to say. That is not a luxury problem, it is a sign that something is blocked.
Somatic coaching with me is not massage or bodywork. It is coaching in which we include your body as a source of information. What do you feel where, what arises when you bring up a topic, what shifts when we give attention somewhere.
We do not stay with talking. We work with what you experience in the moment, in your breath, in your posture, in subtle movements. Information sits there that does not surface through thinking alone.
Sessions last 1.5 to 2 hours. Somatic work asks for attention that can settle. Everything is welcome. Without judgement, with full attention.
What you say here stays here. Body work asks for trust. We build that at our own pace.
Sessions take place on location in The Hague (indoor or outdoor), online, or a combination.
Somatic work works on a level you cannot always capture in words. The effects are often subtle and lasting.
Insights do not only settle in your head, they integrate into your body. That makes them more lasting and you become lighter.
You learn to pick up subtler signals before you get stuck. That gives you room to shift earlier.
Tension does not have to go away immediately. You learn to be with it in a way that works, and as a result much of it dissolves by itself.
Decisions you make from your body, not only from your head, have different qualities. They line up with who you really are.
Many people say they are more present in their own life. Not as a performance, but as a base state. That is valuable.
Body-oriented work has many forms. Massage, bioenergetics, body-oriented therapy, somatic experiencing, yoga therapy. I briefly explain what this is and what it is not.
This is not body-oriented therapy for trauma. For specific trauma treatments such as somatic experiencing or EMDR there are specialised therapists. My work stands alongside and focuses on coaching with body-oriented working forms, not on therapy for trauma.
Nor is this bodywork or massage. I do not touch you. The work takes place in attention and experience, not in physical touch.
What you get here is coaching in which your body joins in or even leads. That can happen in many ways. We can work with posture, breathing, small movements, and noticing what arises when we touch a topic. Sometimes we work standing, sitting, or take a walk. The form follows from what is fitting.
I work with three pillars. Psychology, to understand which patterns are at work. Systemic work, to see which forces in your system play out in your body. And an integral, experience-based approach, in which body, feeling and thinking are taken along together.
I work with people who feel their thinking no longer suffices and who want to work with what their body shows. My approach combines psychology, systemic work and Eastern wisdom. No fixed step-by-step plan, no quick fix. But room to see more deeply what is actually going on and to move from there with more clarity. I work on location in The Hague. Sessions live indoor or outdoor, online or in combination.
Each package starts with a no-obligation introduction. We discuss your situation and look together at which package suits you. The sessions after that last 1.5 to 2 hours, so we can stand still with you with all the room and attention, without rush or pressure.
A compass for those who want to take a first step. In three sessions we look at what is going on, you recognise your patterns, beliefs and stories and you get fresh insights to take into your work straight away.
For those who want to go to the core. In six sessions we create room for essential change. You explore who you are beyond your patterns, beliefs and stories, and learn to live and work from there.
For specific questions such as (impending) burnout, grief, major life changes or reintegration. A package fully tuned to what you need.
Get in touch for a no-obligation proposal
After a completed package you can always come back for a single session of 1.5 to 2 hours. For a check-in, deepening, or when something new shows up on your path.
Many employers reimburse coaching through the training budget, so it is worth asking. Are the costs a barrier for you? Let me know. There is sometimes room.
In a no-obligation introduction we explore together what is going on and whether there is a click. No commitments, just an honest conversation.
