Being coaching for those who want to go beyond performing

Does this sound familiar?

You have done a lot and become a lot. On paper you have succeeded. And still something gnaws in you. Even if you do not quite know where that goes. There is something you cannot make contact with.

Your question is not "what should I do differently". Your question is "who am I beneath all that I do".

You are looking for someone who works with you at that level. Not on a new goal, not on a behaviour pattern, but on the layer of who you are when you are not optimising or proving.

Sound familiar?

When doing no longer gives enough

For people who have built their identity largely on doing, a phase sometimes arises in which doing feels empty without anything going wrong.

You perform and no longer feel the difference

What used to make you proud now feels flat. You cannot really enjoy it. So you look for a new goal to chase.

You do not know who you are when you do nothing

Stillness is hard. On holiday you need three days to settle, and then you do not really know what to do with the time. Doing has become your identity.

You long for deeper connection without knowing with what

With yourself, with others, with something bigger. Not as spiritual quest, but as a feeling that there is more than results.

What can you expect?

How we work together

Being coaching with me is not a method or path. It is work in which we make room for what is when doing is not the first layer. Who you are, how you stand in your life, what happens when you fall still.

A deeper approach

We work with presence. How are you in a conversation, in your work, in your relationships, when you are not occupied with what you have to do?

The time it needs

Sessions last 1.5 to 2 hours. Being work does not let itself be settled in twenty minutes. Everything is welcome. Without judgement, with full attention.

A safe space

What you say here stays here. You do not have to achieve anything to be welcome. That alone is a shift for many.

Flexible in form

Sessions take place on location in The Hague (indoor or outdoor), online, or a combination.

Lasting change

What being coaching brings you

What being coaching brings is not a list of goals to be ticked off. It is a different relationship with yourself and with your life.

A different relationship with doing

The things you do are less reactive. What you do, you do from a different starting point.

Presence instead of haste

You notice you are more often present in what you are doing, instead of already busy with the next.

Silence without restlessness

Stillness becomes less scary. You learn what is when you do nothing, and that often turns out to be enough.

Deeper connection

With yourself, with people around you, with your life as it is. Not as performance, but as your being.

Clearer choices from being

Decisions you make from presence have a different quality. They are often calmer and more lasting.

In depth

How this being coaching differs

Being coaching is a term used in different streams. Some variants are strongly spiritual, others are psychological, others come from non-dual traditions. My take is a combination.

This is not non-dual or spiritual coaching in the sense of a specific tradition. For those looking for the advaita-vedanta path or another spiritual way, there are specialised teachers. My work is not from a spiritual framework.

Nor is this mindfulness training. For developing attention as a skill there are excellent programmes. My work assumes some basis there and builds further on the layer of who you are in your daily life.

What you get here is working with presence in a coaching context. We explore how you stand in your life, what happens when you are not doing, and how you can not only exist there but also make choices from a different starting point. We also look at how you relate to that.

I work with three pillars. Psychology, to understand how your identity has been formed. Systemic work, to see which forces and relationships drive you. And Eastern wisdom as the foundation for the experience-based integral approach.

About me

Am I the right being coach for you?

I work with people who feel that doing mode no longer feeds them and who want to explore who they are beyond what they perform. My approach combines psychology, systemic work and Eastern wisdom. No fixed step-by-step plan, no quick fix. But room to see more deeply what is actually going on and to move from there with more clarity. I work on location in The Hague. Sessions live indoor or outdoor, online or in combination.

What you can expect from me

  • A conversation that goes beyond doing
  • Time to be present without having to do anything
  • A clear view of who you are beyond your roles
  • Experience with people who want to work beyond performance
  • Confidential and without judgement

Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions about being coaching

Not as a basis. For specifically spiritual guidance (such as advaita-vedanta) there are specialised teachers. If spirituality is a layer for you, it can come along in conversations.
Mindfulness coaching works mainly with attention as a skill. Being coaching works more broadly with who you are when you are present. There is overlap, but the starting point is different.
For people who feel their doing identity no longer feeds enough and who want to work on a different layer of being. Not for those who only want behaviour change.
It depends on the package and on your question. The packages below show the options. We choose together what fits where you stand right now.
Helder Zicht (three sessions) is 595 euros for individuals, 750 euros excluding VAT for business. Wezenlijk Verschil (six sessions) is 1,095 euros for individuals, 1,350 euros excluding VAT for business.
Sessions take place on location in The Hague. We can work live, indoor or outdoor, depending on what fits. Being coaching can also be done fully online or as a combination of live and online.
Not necessarily. It helps if you have some basis in stillness or mindfulness, but it is not a requirement. We work at the pace that fits.
